You'll need to tell us what you mean by "global contacts" first. Your Outlook version might also be useful.

Outlook 2002 is my version. Here at work, we have a global address list and
your personal contacts. Contacts shortcut defaults to your personal list. I was wondering if it would be possible to place a shortcut for the global address list, which is shared by the whole company. Thank you! No. The Global Address List is not a folder like your Contacts folder. It's stored in a different way, on the server.
