How can I edit the contact default form?
I simply want to add one line for "Department" under the "Company" line. I tried designing a new form by simply adding this field but the resulting form is different. For example in the default form I could click on for example Business Phone box and a "Check Phone Number" box with Phone Number details will open. However when I use the designed form I cannot get this option by clicking on the Phone box. Please help |

How can I edit the contact default form?
Tools | Forms | Design a Form, then see http://www.outlookcode.com/d/newdefaultform.htm I simply want to add one line for "Department" under the "Company" line. I tried designing a new form by simply adding this field but the resulting form is different. That's normal, expected behavior. For example in the default form I could click on for example Business Phone box and a "Check Phone Number" box with Phone Number details will open. However when I use the designed form I cannot get this option by clicking on the Phone box. That's one of the features you give up when you customize the first page of the contact form. Thanks for the reply.
I read the article however I have not used Visual Basic and have no idea how to proceed. My knowledge is basic but I am willing to follow instructions. Could you give me some step by step instructions on how to add this script please. "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ... How can I edit the contact default form? There's no script to add. It is not possible to display the phone dialog programmatically.
