I am using Outlook 2007 and have resolved my original crashing problem by
removing the link between Outlook and Adobe 6 Pro. However after going through my contact list to get some numbers this morning I returned an hour later to get another number and all my contacts are now gone. My Contacts have been running problem free since my install of Outlook 2007 until today. Any Advice I can get so I can recover all my numbers I would be very greatful. |

Russ,
I am using XP Pro with SP2 Running Outlook 2007 I use Contacts daily without any issues until today ie I open contacts and they are all there or I write an email press the to: and can see all my contacts When I opened my contacts today all of them had gone. My Contacts are now empty if I write an email and press the to: the contacts are empty. I havent installed any applications or removed any. I have no reason for why this would happen. Clean install of the beta or an upgrade?
Contacts missing from the Contact Folder or just the address book view? What information store, PST file or Exchange mailbox? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Shane" wrote in message ... I upgraded from 2003 which was well over a month ago and I could see all my
contacts address and phone numbers. The contact folder and address book view are there. I can add a new contact and see it however cant see any of the old contacts I had. It is a PST Store. I uploaded 2 screen shots of my outlook contacts so you can at least see what I am seeing. The first one is the a view of what I see before I try and add a new contact. As you can now see I have none of my old contact details. http://www.beachball.com.au/outlook/...screenshot.jpg The 2nd is after I have added a new contact. And as you can see here I can see the new contact but still none of my old contact details. http://www.beachball.com.au/outlook/...creenshot2.jpg I hope this gives you a better idea of my issue. Thanks in advance Cheers Shane "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Clean install of the beta or an upgrade? Contacts missing from the Contact Folder or just the address book view? Data does not just disappear from Outlook for no reason. Use Folder List
view to examine your entire folder hierarchy to see if your other Contact Folder is there somewhere. I assume you backed up all your Outlook data before and created a new Outlook profile after attempting to install a beta. You should have. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Shane" wrote in message ...
