Is there a way to add a title to a contact without changing the lookup alpha
sequence? I need to add "Rev." to several contacts but don't want alter how
they appear in a lookup.

Depends on the "lookup" and you don't say how you're doing that. The title
of a contact certainly won't affect how contacts are files if they're filed
by last name.
