I have created a journal from within a contact, and saved it, but it doesn't
show up under my activities tab. Why? |

I thought I would give you more information. I have tried this in several
contacts. I open the contact, create a journal and the name appears in the "contacts" window at the bottom of the journal. When I open the journals, they are there. But when I open the Contact page and click on the "Activities Tab" they don't show. How can I get them to show. I am not trying to do this with word because I use word 2000 and Outlook 2003. But shouldn't the journals and tasks show in the contact Activities Tab? This one really has me puzzled. I work with a peer-to-peer network in my home and it won't work on the primary computer that has the folder on it either. Is there a problem importing the file from older versions of Outlook? Thanks Wiry "Wiry" wrote: I have created a journal from within a contact, and saved it, but it doesn't show up under my activities tab. Why? |

The Activities page shows activities only in certain folders, the folders defined in the various "activity groups," which are managed from the Properties dialog on the contacts folder. Your symptoms suggest that either you're working with a journal folder that isn't included in the activity group you're looking at or (maybe more likely), the activity group is corrupted. Try creating a new activity group that includes the desired folders.

Thanks so much, Sue. I had gone to the properties of the Contact page and
all the groups were listed. So I reset them instead of created a new group and now they work. After I reset them they appeared in properties as "Folders". Perhaps they weren't "folders" before. Who knows? Anyway, I spent two days on this ... thanks for solving my problem.
