I want to create a csv file of all my contacts and put it on my destop to
later retrieve and add to my earthlink webmail address book. If I create the csv file via "import and export" in Outlook, will it do anything to my current contacts as they appear in Outlook now? |

No, exporting just makes a copy of your data in another file.

Thanks Sue. I was pretty sure it wouldn't alter my contacts, but couldn't
find any info that confirmed it, and I didn't want to take a blind chance on it. I appreciate your prompt response...thanks again! :-) Lo "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: No, exporting just makes a copy of your data in another file. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "LoLo" wrote in message ... A side note - if you're making the export so you can transfer the data to another Outlook, don't. Exporting is rarely the way to transfer data from Outlook to Outlook. -- Brian Tillman |
