Default How do I display a name instead of email address in Outlook 97?

I'm asking the question for a friend who still uses this version. I know in
my current version, after you enter the email address the next space below is
the "display as"; here you can type in a name instead of the email address or
whatever you want to have viewed by email recipients. How does this happen
for Outllook 97?

Far too old for me to remember - I haven't used it since 1998.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Blake asked:

Double click the email address in the Contact Record to invoke the Display
As dialog.
