Hello,
We have several users with WinXP and Office 2003. We are running Exchange Server 2003. When one user tries to do a mail merge in word and call up the contact list form Outlook some of the contact lists are showing the wrong location. For example: 'Suppliers' has the description Archive Folders|Deleted Items\priv1.edb\User Name\Contacts Where as 'Sales' has the correct description Mailbox - User Name|Contacts We can not use the contact lists in the Archive Folders to create mail merges. Does anyone know why some are pointing to this location please? |

Where are you seeing that location?
You should be able to use any contacts folder for a merge if you start the merge from Outlook, not Word. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Tom" wrote in message ... In Word, under 'letters and mailings' then 'mail merge'. We have the letter
we would like to use for the mailing on the screen. Get to the 'Select receipients' section and choose the 'Select from Outlook Contacts' option. Now a box appears with all the contact folders from Outlook. However over half of them are showing the location stated earlier which is an old list. For some reason only three of them show location as 'Mailbox - User Name|Contacts' Which is the current list. Do you know why the mail merge is picking up some old deleted list?
