Have read articles to date but confused. Just set up XP & Office 2003. All
contacts created OK all show in Outlook 2003, yet under start Accessories Address book no contacts folder is visible. It is therefore not visible to a fax package from HP to use the contacts list to send a fax. Can anyone please help? |

Outlook Contacts show up in the Outlook Address Book.
You are talking about the Windows Address Book, which has nothing to do with Outlook. If HP has no option for integrating with Outlook, then you must export your Contacts to the WAB via a CSV file. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "GazWat" wrote in message ... Thankyou. HP tech support did not know this. I thought contacts were simply a
folder within the address book. If I have to I will duplicate but this seems a bit remiss of Microsoft? "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Outlook Contacts show up in the Outlook Address Book. Sorry I shuld say of HP not to use the Outlook contacts. So to clarify my
understanding Windows has an address book and Outlook has an address book also. Under each of which you can store folders. Correct? Is there a method of having a common address book & contacts folder in order not to have to duplicate the entries? Only if you want to use a reg hack.
http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/oeshare.htm Note, that for later versions you may have to hack a different key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4 -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "GazWat" wrote in message ... Thanks Russ I'm not a reg edit expert but I'll give it a try.
