In OL 2007, when you open the address book there is a choice of "name" or
"more columns" at the top that determines what is searched for. I have had no luck figuring out what "more columns" actually searches. I've entered a company name and things from other fields and rarely get matches. ANy ideas? Also, seems NUTS that this doesn't use the integrated WDS. |

It searches the columns other than the Name column, like Display Name and
Email Address. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "P Cause" wrote in message ... That's what I thought, but it doesn't seem to. For example, if I enter
"yahoo.com" I get no matches, but I know I have folks in my address book who have that in their email address. The only thing I've gotten more columns to match is a name. MS needs to have somehting that explains what columns match and it needs to work! Works fine here. Are you certain that your Outlook Address Book is
configured correctly and that Outlook 2007 has had a chance to finish its indexing? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "P Cause" wrote in message ... That's what I thought, but it doesn't seem to. I am not sure what "configured correctly" means, but WDS has definitely
finished indexing. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Works fine here. Now I'm seeing the same problem. I used to get hits on domains in the email
address but now I don't. I haven't seen what algorithm "More columns" is supposed to be using, but it sure isn't picking up strings in the email address. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "P Cause" wrote in message ...
