Default Import XLS file into newly created Group in the Contacts folder

I am trying but am not having much luck. First with the address book
open and seeing my contacts list, I went to add new entry and selected
new Dist List. So now I see in BOLD the name of the new dist list.

Now I have in Excel as an xls file a list of 500 names and the columns
are Last Name, First Name, middle initial, email address.

I want to bring this list into that new group I created. I tried and
tried but keep hitting brick walls. Can anyone help???

I don't believe you can import into a DL. If you have addresses separated
by semicolons, you can paste them into the Members field of the Select
Members dialogue, but that's it as far as I can tell.
