All my phone numbers in outlook have the prefix +44.
My pda on windows mobile will not dial out with this prefix. Is there a method of globally removing this prefix from all the records, or do have to edit them individually?. rgds Rick |

Export your contacts to Excel. Than rplace "+44" with "" and import
them again to outlook. -- EDV-Service Marchert [Peter Marchert] --------------------------------------- Homepage: http://www.marchert.de Rufnummernformatierung mit EditNumbers Kontakte per Mausklick mit ContactMaker rickadv schrieb: All my phone numbers in outlook have the prefix +44. Actually, your Windows mobile will dial out properly, as long as you give it
your country code (44 in your case) and area code. You don't need to do anything else. In particular, you don't need to remove the country code from the contact records. With WM for Smartphone, it's under "Call Options" - should be something similar for Phone Edition. "rickadv" wrote: All my phone numbers in outlook have the prefix +44. A follow up, because my first info was not quite complete:
Your Windows Mobile will dial properly as long as your contact phone numbers are correctly entered in full international format. For UK numbers, that is: +44 (aaa) nnnnnnnn, where aaa is the area code of 2-6 digits, and nnnnnnnn is the subscriber number. Do not include an initial "0" in the number. The "0" is a dialing prefix, not part of the phone number. For example, this format is not correct: +44 020 nnnnnnnn The correct format is: +44 (20) nnnnnnnn The parentheses are optional - they'll get ignored anyway.
