Default Distribution list

I use outlook 2003. I share distribution lists with my colleagues which i
access through a shared account. I can view, edit these lists etc. however,
when i choose to senda message to the distribution list the list is not
underlined within the To box, as if it does not recognise the addresses. Is
there something in my settings that i need to change.
