Default problem using email addresses from contacts

How can we get Outlook e-mail address lookup to use the Contacts folder as
the source of e-mail addresses. The address book feature shows no addresses
available. This is in MS XP Pro and Office Pro.
Help would be appreciated.

Configure your address book service. Just how is version dependent and you
didn't state the Office version you are using. "Office Pro" can be "Office
97 Professional", "Office 2000 Professional", "Office XP Professional", or
"Office 2003 Professional".

CLick ToolsE-mail AccountsAdd a new directory or address bookNext.
Select Additional Address Books and click Next. Select Outlook Address Book
and click Next, then Finish. Stop and restart Outlook. Make sure your
Contacts folder is enabled as an addresss book. Right-click, choose
Properties, then Outlook Address Book. Check the box labeled "Show this
folder as an e-mail Address Book".. Click OK.
