I am trying to use the File Import/Export wizard and I keep getting an error.
I select my file to import, select "do not import duplicate items" click "next" Select my destination folder "Contacts" click "next" I then get a translation error: An error has occurred in the Microsoft Excel translator while getting the contents of a file system. The Microsoft Excel fiel "C:\Documents and Settings\dmeyer\Desktop\ER email list.xls" has no named rages. use Microosft Excel to name the range of the data you want to import. I read on another posting that you didn't need to select the range, so I guess I am confused as to how to get this done. If you are importing from an Excel Workbook, (*.xls) then you MUST name the data range, otherwise you get this error message. An easier answer if you don't know how to do that is to open the Excel Workbook and do File-Save As and save it as a *.csv file and import that. CSV files don't need a named range to import into Outlook.. -- Asking a question?
