Default How do I automatically put people I reply to in any Contacts folde

I think the situation of BobP and MaryC was not understood. I, too, have
recently changed to Outlook 2003. When using Outlook 2000, I could go Tools
Options and from Preferences select E-mail Options, then at the bottom of

that panel I could check a box which said "Automatically put people I reply
to in" and I was given the option of Browsing through all my Outlook folders
and selecting one. This meant I could select any of my Contact folders - or
any folder for that matter.
This option does not appear to be available in Outlook 2003. Can anyone
help? I found it a useful feature because I didn't want my main Contacts
folders cluttered up with email addresses of people I might only ever send
one email to.

No full versions of Outlook ever had the ability to add recipients
automatically to your Contacts Folder. Only the long abandoned IMO mode of
Outlook 98/2000 did that. To automatically add the email address of people
you respond to to your Contacts Folder requires code:
http://www.outlookcode.com/d/code/autoaddrecip.htm
http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/addauto.htm

I see several listed there that say they are free. Are they lying?
