Any new additions to my contact list do not show up in my address book -
can't figure out why.... I have followed all directions to specify my contact list as my address book, and all of the old contacts appear but no new additions. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? |

Suggest posting your Outlook version and the precise steps you are using.
I would suspect you are entering the Contacts in a folder other than the one you are displaying in your address book view, but there is no information provided to troubleshoot your problem. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Gino" wrote in message news ![]() Any new additions to my contact list do not show up in my address book - can't figure out why.... Hello Russ...
I'm using Outllok 2003 ( 11.8 ) sp2... Like everyone else ( it seems ) I still have the two personal folders ( and every attempt to get rid of them, new profile, etc has been unsucsessful ). I have also tried all of microsofts tips to use contact names as the address book without luck. Bottom line is that any new additions to contacts do not appear in my address book even though they exist in contacts. I am sure this is a very basic problem on my part, but I simply can't make the two connect. I have only the one contact folder and not a separate address folder. - "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Suggest posting your Outlook version and the precise steps you are using. You've introduced several new variables, but not enough to solve the
equation. So now you're telling us that you have two Personal Folders, yet you claim to have only one set of Contacts. That seems implausible. Are you sure you mean that? Seems to me we need to figure out how you corrupted your profile and fix that first. I still strongly suspect you are adding these Contacts to a folder you are not displaying in your Address Book. Just look and see: Go to Tools E-mail accounts View or change existing directories or address books Outlook Address Book Change. and report what you see there. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Gino" wrote in message ... Okay... nothing shows there. I have attempted to add the contacts folder as
an address book ( contacts folder/properties/show this folder as an e-mail address book ) and this doesn't work either. Nothing where? What doesn't work? State what you tried and what happened.
State how you managed to have two sets of Personal Folders. It will be difficult to fix your Outlook Address Book until we fix the rest of your problems. I know there is a lot more to this story than you've told us. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Gino" wrote in message ... Okay... nothing shows there.
