Default Insert Object

I've been working with Outlook 2003 Contacts trying to figure out how Outlook
determines what objects to list when I select Insert-Object from the Contact
Menu. The objects listed on my machine a
Bitmap Image
Media Clip
Microsoft Equation 3.0
Microsoft Graph Chart
...

How does Outlook determine what objects it displays in this menu? Are these
OLE/ActiveX controls? Many ActiveX controls are on my machine that are not
contained in this list.

The purpose of this post is that I would like to write my own control to
display content in the Attachments/Comments section of the Contact entry.

Any help appreciated.
