I am using Outlook 2003 with Exchange, I have created a Public Contact Folder
which I have added to my Favorites, In the properties I have selected the add to email list. When I try and access this folder (merging in Publisher) it is not there, the only thing I can select form is Contacts "Mailbox- Username" there is no other folder, how do I get this folder to appear for my merge? Start the merge from Outlook, in that folder, not from Word.

You are correct. I overlooked that you were merging with Publisher, which I suspect suffers from the same deficiency as Word: It can't show public folders as a merge source. That leaves you with two immediate options: Port the message content to Word and try the method I suggested, or copy the data from the public folder into a mailbox folder that Publisher can see.

You can create a new contacts folder in Outlook with the File | New | Folder command. A check box on the folder's Properties dialog will allow it to display in the Outlook Address Book, which may be related to what Publisher uses.

I did that and it works; I used to be able to have public folders come up on
this list as well; I am not sure if this happens after I made them a "favorite" Anyways. I am trying to merge to one of these public folders???? Public folders haven't worked in Word merge since at least Outlook 2003, and I would imagine the same problem affects Publisher as well.

I don't remember whether I tested it, but I'd be really surprised if it ever gets fixed, since public folders are being deemphasized in Exchange 2007.
