I don't think it's a phone issue as much as a carrier issue. When they see the + sign they ignore the next digit. However that does not explain why when I enter a number into Outlook contacts I can't find a way so that the + sign does not get added. I've checked with other and their contact list does not automatically insert the + sign so why can't a change it? Outlook uses your modem and dialing properties to format the phone number. As I understand it, if you have set your local calling information correctly, then Outlook will include the plus. Did you try the tool I cited? -- Brian Tillman |

I unfortunately couldn't get it to work. So you are saying that if I have my local calling information setup correctly then Outlook will include the plus. Then my question is, how can I set it up incorrectly so the plus is not inserted. I never use the modem in my laptop. Thanks. |

I never use the modem in my laptop. Thanks. Well, it worked for me when I tested it. Open the phone and modem options and delete as much information about dialing as you can. See if that helps. You may have to double-click each phone number to get Outlook to remask it. -- Brian Tillman |
