Default imported excel to outlook

Nothing that cant be sent to another account or is important.
Can I just right click on "Personal Folders" and then right click and delete?

Do you have any other data in this Personal Folder file or can we just
create a new one and start from scratch to see what happens?

I KNOW!
No I could not delete files first. Ran SCANPST.EXE ~ 17 problems ~ did the
repair. Went into Outlook, in contacts, it looked the same as before. I
did
try to right click on (65535 items) and delete which caused the "Outlook
has
encountered a problem and has to close" screen to pop up. I do not
understand
any of the jargon that was in the error report! I did try for the heck of
it
to manually enter a contact ~ still recieved the "folder is full" alert.
I don't remember how many times that I tried to import ~ 4-5? Each time
the
dialog box would open and show the transfer-starting on "area" ( the first
of
the ten headers)- the green timer line would fill, the little letters
would
fly from folder to folder and within 5 minutes I would recieve the same
error
message as above. I just assumed that the data, or not very much of it had
transfered.
Can I just upgrade/Install Outlook 2003 Professional with Business COntact
mgr? The computer currently has Windows 2000 operating system and XP 2002
small business for the program pkg. Whats confusing is I just 2 weeks ago
did
a complete install of everything (from operating-programs-network etc) and
this is the first time we have tried to use Outlook.

Odder & odder...

You can't delete items can you? First you might want to try running
ScanPST.EXE on your PST file to see if anything bad has happened to the
file. Then from within the Contacts folder see if you can then remove the
bad items.

How many times did you try to import from the file?

We just started using/setting up outlook for a seperate part of our
business. (We have a web site that users can ask for information)

Not so easy... Go to the Control Panel's Mail applet, click Email accounts,
select View/Change existing email accounts Click Next

Click New Outlook Data File, create the file then set it in the Deliver new
email to the following location dropdown

Start Outlook and use the new folders. You might have to close the old ones
but other than that you should be fine

Default imported excel to outlook

Ok-I have the new personal folder ~ Thank You! I can manually insert contact
info. I did try to import ~ It went all the way thru the first header and
started (I dont know how far it got) thru the second header when I recieved
the problem message and outlook restarted. I did double check the Excel
spreadsheet and the only thing I can see different in those two columns is:
the first column every cell has information in it, the second column does
have blank spaces near the end of the column. Would that have anything to do
with the import not finishing and if so how do I make it work without adding
a character in each blank cell just to delete it in Outlook? (sorry about all
the ?'s - outlook is new to me!) Thanks

Don't import. Open the old PST as well and drag/drop everythin in it to the
new PST. Close the old one when finished.

I dont think that any of the contact information was imported into the old
PST. I would like not to manually enter all the contact information. I have 3
different "mailing" lists that need entered. The largest is over 150 names,
addresses, ph# etc. I tried an import after manual enter worked. The first
header "area" which is the state column, worked. The second header,
community, did not. the only difference i could see in the columns was the
blank cells on the community header. could that have anything to do with the
import failure? can I import without filling in the cells before import and
then going into each contact after import and deleting that unnecessary info?
With that many contacts, I want the easy way!!!
