Default how to automatic list all contacts from LDAP server?

When I want to select some contacts from LDAP, the contacts does not list
anything, and I must type some search keywords and search then appears match
contacts, and the keywords "*" can't list any contacts.
How can I do to list(automaticly) all contacts from LDAP server?
Thank you.

BTW: from mozilla, I use "*" to list all contacts.

I don't believe the Find User tool can list all users. I don't think it can
generate the LDAP commands to do it.

I don't know how to do that for an LDAP server using Microsoft tools.
