It seems some of my outlook 2003 contacts have an apostrophe before and after
the e-mail address. These are not in the contacts folder when I go look up these people, but it shows that way when I enter their names from autocomplete and from the double click on TO and then selecting the name from the list of contacts. I have 2300 contacts and this has not been a problem until recently. I've exported to windows CSV, did a find/replace to get rid of them and then imported, but they seem to eventually come back. I'd appreciate any thoughts/advice. -- Thanx |

Explain why you think this matters. What function are you missing?

some have it some don't so if I'm looking for Lewis and he has it in front of
his name it does not autocomplete, but if I type 'L then it does. If I can remove it I think autocomplete is working fine and all the folks I have in my list are availalbe just by name. -- Thanx "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Explain why you think this matters. Whether you see an apostrophe or not depends, from what I can tell, on the sender's client. Even so, I just tested your conditions. I added an entry to the autocompletion cache of 'Test User' I then opened a new message window and entered an apostrophe. I saw the entry in the list that appears. I then entered "t" and I still saw the entry in the list that appears. -- Brian Tillman |

Wow, I'm confused. At any rate, I appeciate your help and quick responses.
I will assume it's my set up or that I have too many contacts and I'm bogging something down. Thanx again...it's still good to know I don't have to fix these or look for what's causing it. Merry Christmas. -- Thanx "Brian Tillman" wrote: BCNU wrote: some have it some don't so if I'm looking for Lewis and he has it in front of his name it does not autocomplete, but if I type 'L then it does.
