Recently upgraded from OL2000 to OL2003. In OL2000, there is an option to
automatically add people to contacts. From MS Article ID 195429: "To enable this feature, follow these steps: 1. On the Tools menu, click Options. 2. On the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options. 3. Click to select Automatically put people I reply to in. If you have more than one Contacts folder available, click Folder, and then select the desired Contacts folder." This feature no longer appears in OL2003 (or at least I can't find it). Any way to still turn this off/on? (as OL2003 is still merrily adding anyone I send an email to my contacts list) Thanks in advance! |

No full versions of Outlook ever had the ability to add recipients
automatically to your Contacts Folder. Only the long abandoned IMO mode of Outlook 98/2000 did that. To automatically add the email address of people you respond to to your Contacts Folder requires code: http://www.outlookcode.com/d/code/autoaddrecip.htm http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/addauto.htm -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "RLang" wrote in message ... If Outlook 2003 is doing this, then you forgot to create a new profile.
Always create a new profile when you attempt an upgrade installation. You've inherited lots of other trouble from your old profile. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ...
