Multiple Addresses
I have Outlook 2003 running on an XP home laptop.
I ran a backup file .pst on the system and installed the file on a desktop PC. I had selected to not create doubles, but now both machines have doubles in the contacts. How does this happen and is there any way to remove them without going through them 1 by 1? This will be the second time if I have to go through them 1 by 1, and I don't want to do it a third time. Over 1300 entries now on 2 machines.

How are you "installing" this file? Normally one would just open a backup
PST file in Outlook. You must be doing something else. Importing, for example, is not recommended and could be the cause of your problem. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "creyor" wrote in message ... I already told you. You open the file: File Open Outlook Data file...

That doesn't make sense. There is no Address Book in Outlook. All Contact

OK I can see how to open the pst file in Outlook, but I do not understand how
to copy contacts from one computer to another. I am trying to share contacts between two computers, my wifes and mine and I do not want to create multiples.
