Default Telephone masking in int'l format

I would like all my Contacts telephone/fax/cell etc. numbers to be in
international format *without* parentheses e.g.:

+1-123-5556789
+44-20-12345678
+33-2222-5678901

OL2003 seems to put some of the numbers like this:
+1 (123) 5556789
+44 (20) 12345678
+33 (2222) 5678901

I *do not* want parentheses or spaces - only hyphens/dashes to separate
my number but OL seems to insist on adding these.

1. How can I get rid of them all in one go without manually having to go
through each one.
2. How can I make sure OL keeps the number formatting that I desire?
Many thanks

As is posted here nearly every day, you can't.
Masking of phone numbers in Outlook is hard coded and not subject to
configuration by the end user.
