Default names in distribution list disappear

I use Outlook Live.

I set up a distribution list in my address book, typing in each name and
email address using the "add new member" button.

I use the "update now" button, and F9 to update the list.

The distribution list works fine.

I close Outlook, do other things.

I come back to work, open Outlook, add a new member to the list and go
through the same process. The list looks fine.

I clost Outlook, do other things.

I come back to work, open Outlook, look at the distribution list, and only
the NEW name is there. All the other names that were added before are gone. I
have to go through and select them all, again, from the contacts list. If I
add a new member, I go through the same process again and lose all the
previous names.

Help!

first off, use contacts and categories instead... it's easier to add/remove
members.

Have you looked at the DL online to see what is getting uploaded? It sounds
like there is a sync problem and the update deletes the items.
