I recently exported all my contacts to excel in order to eliminate some old
ones. I reimported the smaller list to my empty Contacts folder and enabled the Contracts to show in Address Book. Only about 1/4 of the contacts are showing up in the Address Book now. I can't find any reasons why these are showing up and others are not. thanks seth |

I answered part of my problem. I found that even though I exported to Excel
and imported from Excel without changing the column headers I needed to map the fields on the import. The Address book was reading the email type field which I didn't have mapped right. Now, my question has changed. Address Book shows all the contacts that have email or faxes but I would like the Address Book to show ALL the contacts b/c my ipod synchs with the Address Book and not the Contacts. Thoughts on this? "sethp" wrote: I recently exported all my contacts to excel in order to eliminate some old ones. Thoughts?
The Outlook Address Book does not exist. The only purpose of the Outlook Address Book is to display the electronic addresses that reside in your Contacts Folder so you can send messages. No programs synchronize with the Outlook Address Book. They only synchronize with Contacts Folders. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "sethp" wrote in message ... I answered part of my problem.
