Default mail merge email - why so different in Office 03 from 2000

Trying to email a list of 2500 and used to be able to do this fine in
MOffice2000 but 2003 says download 'electronic postage' and the MS website
finds no results for such a search ....aarrgh!! Any ideas?? Many thanks.
