I have attached my local distribution list to another outlook user via email.
The recipient, however, only recieves a folder with nothing in it. If he/she drags the folder the only email address that appears is mine. Within my network this method of sending the DL works perfectly. I was wondering if anyone had an idea why external users are not able to open/drag the DL. HELP! |

You must insert the DL as an Outlook Item in an RTF message. The recipient
must be using Outlook. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Rogers & Fleck Admin" wrote in message ... I have attached my local distribution list to another outlook user via email. The DL was attached as an item and it was sent in a RTF message, I have also
called the recipient to make sure she was an outlook user. Again the issue is that outside of my office network people receive a folder rather than a rolodex-style card with the animated people on it. In-network emailing the DL works beautifully. Any other ideas on why this doesn't seem to work? "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: You must insert the DL as an Outlook Item in an RTF message. Not without more information. Information store and how the DL was created
are all in play. You have not mentioned that information. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Rogers&Fleck" wrote in message ...
