Default Help! I can't find my Contacts

I was trying to configure my Outlook today (the mail settings) and setup new
Outlook data files. I did not realize this would make my existing Contacts
list inaccessible...I did not backup the Contacts previously. I think the
file is probably still on my computer but i cannot access it (hidden file).

Further, the file is not broken up in contacts, calendar, etc but seems to
be a general outlook file. How can i retrieve my Contacts file again? I had
hundreds of entries.....

thanks in advance

Just because it's hidden, doesn't mean you can't access it. Unhide the file.
It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm
http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm
