I have trasferred .pst data file to the new hdd OS reinstalled.

I have copied by connecting my old hdd as secondary to the new hdd
which is primary. After copying the .pst file , when i tried to add in
the outlook it says - .pst is not a personal folder file.
Tried doing scanpst several times - gives same error .pst is not a
personal folder file.

Tied copy the file from old hdd several times - result is same as
above. My .pst file size is 1.80gb.

Please suggest how to recover the data or is there any tool to
recover .

Sounds like you have hit the upper limit for .pst file size. See if this helps:

Thanks for the reply,
The above link didn't worked. after running recovery softwares it
throws error " not a valid pst file".

The size of the pst is a 1.80 with in 2gb limit. Feel some problem in
the file format.

any suggestions?

If Outlook is complaining that the PST is not a valid PST file, then it's
likely the file is trash, either because of how it was created or in its
copying and only a commercial recovery tool stands a chance of fixing it.
