Thanks Sue
I have defined the activities to include all emails, sent and received, tasks, and notes. Still nothing shows up. I'm using a pst file from OL 2003. I searched here and it appears they are the same. When I view he contacts activities tab, there are no activities showing. And there are plenty in tasks, emails, etc. Also, previous versions of OL, the Activities tab includes a selection of All Items. The 2007 version doesn't seem to have that choice. Does this new version actually have less features than the old??? |

When you first open a contact and select activities Outlook will search
through all your folders to find the activities associatated with this contact. If your have a lot in your folders, this will take a while. You will see the looking glass icon moving on the top right hand side as it's searching. WHen it finds the activities it will begin to populate this page. Once populated, it will be viewable each time you open that contact and select that tab. Just note that, in order for the Calander activities to show up, you will need to link it to that contact by clickingon the Contact tab at the very bottom of your appointment/task window, finding the contact and selecting apply. this will link this activity to that contact and will then be available in the activities tab. This is my understanding of how this works. -- Elena "GolfGal" wrote: Thanks Sue I have defined the activities to include all emails, sent and received, tasks, and notes. Still nothing shows up. Yes, I've done all that. I've been using Outlook for many years and am quite
familiar with its processes. However, I still get no activities!! I also am experiencing problems with outlook 2007 and linked items. I have found that the activities tab will not list items in public folders even though you may have defined the group under the folder properties. If the folder you want to search for linked items exists within your mailbox then there is no problem with outlook finding them and displaying them on the activities tab.
This may have something to do with Microsoft removing public folders from the next version of exchange. But you would think that they would at least keep the software compatible with previous versions of exchange. EggHeadCafe.com - .NET Developer Portal of Choice http://www.eggheadcafe.com |
