"Select Name" for inserting email addresses does not work?

Default "Select Name" for inserting email addresses does not work?

When i go to Select Names and click to insert only a , or ; appears with no
email address.

The other issue is i have imported my contacts from excell and the address
fields all populate the one fied (City Field) I have used commas, spaces and
varying other tries but still not working?
