Default contact not showing up.

Hello, outlook xp sp3. I have a contact that is not showing up when you
click on the address book on the standard toolbar. This is a contact that is
in my outlook address book contacts, not in my global address list. However
when you browse to contacts in the folder list, it shows up. Any ideas??

Quick update, I checked this box "Show this foler as an e-mail address book"
and now I have 2 sets of contacts but my missing contact is now there. What
is this check box and why do I need it checked? How do I delete the one I do
not need?
