I have outlook on my computer with a software package called "Pimphony".
Basically, Pimphony allows me to make calls by just clicking on the call button on an Outlook contact (my computer being connected to my telephone system) rather than punching the numbers into my telephone. I have a problem because I want to be able to call numbers both from my PC and my PDA Windows Mobile 6 phone. Unfortunately, if a number does not have the international calling code (i.e. +44 for the UK) in front of it on outlook I have to double click that number and then let outlook put the international calling code in front of that number. The number is then stored in the contacts file as "+[international calling code] [phone number]". I can then dial out directly from my PC. My PDA phone on the other hand will only dial out if there is the "+[international call code] in front of the number if the first digit of the phone number is dropped (i.e. "+44 01234 567 8910" would have to be stored as "+44 1234 567 8910". Alternatively my PC Phone can dial out directly if the number is simply stored as "1234 567 8910". That way of dialling number does not work on my PC. I have tried messing with the phone and modem options but to no avail. Is there a way of telling outlook to dial a number just by putting a "9" in front of the number and not messing about with the +44 international dialing code? I know this is a really difficult question and I am unlikely to get any response, but if there is anyone out there that can give me any help at all I would be most grateful. |
