I want to link an access database to the contacts listing in outlook, this
idea being to maintain a single datasource. i know how to link access to outlook however I need each entry to be numbered with a unique number. Is there a way that outlook can attach a unique entry number to each contact as it is entered or do I have to do something clever in access, if so how can I achieve it. I am using MS Office Pro 2003. I also use AOL would this cause any problems. Grateful for any help. |

Outlook has nothing like that built in. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/database.htm#tools for possible solutions, e.g. SQLView

Thanks for info. Do you know if there is a facility in access that can add a
number to linked tables? "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Outlook has nothing like that built in.
