Default Outlook 2003 data loss

I have recently reformated my hard drive and reload a fresh copy of Outlook
2003. Before doing so, I saved a copy of the address book and data files to
an external hard drive. I was unsuccessful in trying to import them or
trying to swap files between the C; and E: directories. Therefore I can not
access my calendar or email information. Is there any hope or am I toast?
