Default Transfer .pst file with mutiple contact folders to other computer

Help! Outlook 2000
My main computer needs it's motherboard replaced.
I want to use outlook on my laptop while main computer is out of action.
How can I transfer all folders, calendar and emails to the laptop.
Both computers have the same program.
When I copied (and also imported) the .pst file from main computer to laptop
computer location - the laptop received all data except for the contact
folders were not recognised. In fact the when I tried to send an email on the
laptop - no addresses were displayed from it's address book (let alone
multiple contact folders choices)
I changed the properties of the contact folders to "use as email address"
and this still did not fix the problem.
I hope someone can help.
Thanks
