I have been very careful to enter my Contacts so that they are displayed in
alphabetical order in the format Surname, FirstName. However, when using the e-mail address bok, some of them are displayed as FirstName Surname I can find no reason for this variation. I have deleted entries and re-entered data without Success |

No question has been answered more often in this group. You need to set the
sort order for your Outlook Address Book. Method depends on your Outlook version which you did not provide. Find a post here that matches your version. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Mad Uncle Hugh" Mad Uncle wrote in message ... I am using Outlook 2003 and have set the sort option as Surname, Forename and
IF I look at the Contact Page that is the way it can be seen in the FULL NAME, FILE AS & DISPLAY AS fields. It is only when I try to send mail and click on the To option to display email addresses that things go wrong Hugh DRake Brockman "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: No question has been answered more often in this group. Of course. In no way did you set the sort order for the Outlook Address
Book. You set the sort order for the Contacts Folder--not the same. Go to Tools E-mail accounts View or change existing directories or address books Outlook Address Book Change… Set your sort order there Restart Outlook to see the changes. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "madunclehugh" wrote in message ...
