In the Advanced Toolbar of Contacts -- the last button is AutoPreview. In all
my research -- it talks about AutoPreview in Mail, but not in Contacts. I've
toggled it many times and don't see a difference.

What is it supposed to do? It's not showing multilines. Thanks.

it does for me. I am on version 2007 in Phone List view. You failed to
mention those useful bits of data.

Am in Phone List view. Maybe the question to ask -- what information appears
on the 2nd and 3rd lines in AutoPreview of a contact?

Notes field.

ie what's in the white space of the Contact. I write notes of my last
conversation there.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

That's it! I didn't have any notes (yet), so that's why I thought I was
losing my mind.
