Outlook 2003
I am trying to attach a document/file to a Contact, however upon trying to
save I get the message:
This item contains attachments that are potentially unsafe. You may be able
to view these attachments after you close them.
Do you want to close this item anyway?
For more information on unsafe attachments, see the help topic on "Unsafe
Attachments".
Hitting the 'Yes' button closes the contact, but does not save the
attachment with it!
Hitting the 'No' button takes me to the "Unsafe Attachments" help screen
which tells me how to "unattach" the file !!!!!!!!! (Big help that is)
I have tried the Microsoft help file which lists file extns. that are
automatically blocked. The file I am trying to attach is not listed as an
automatic block. It is a .msg file which has a .pdf attachment - this fails
so I tried attaching the .pdf file which also fails !!
A colleague using the same version of Outlook can make the attachment work.
I have also tried looking in the security settings but cannot identify any
likely causes !
Can anybody please help?
