I accidentally deleted a distribution list stored in my Outlook 'Contacts'.
How can I restore it? -- Thank you. |

Is it in the Deleted Items folder? If so, drag/drop it back into the

In Outlook (2003), I have: MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDAR and TASKS.
When I click on MAIL, there is a 'deleted items' folder, but that contains only deleted emails. When I click on CONTACTS, I do not see a 'deleted items' folder. Should I? FYI: Here is how I 'accidentally' deleted the distribution list. Under CONTACTS, I opened the distribution list in order to remove a name. When I highlighted the name I wanted to remove, instead of clicking 'REMOVE', I mistakenly clicked the 'X' in the menu bar. Puff! My entire distribution list was gone. BTW, I think this is a flaw in Outlook. There should be a pop up window asking for confirmation to delete an entire distribution list. I had over 300 names in my list. -- Thank you. However, it does work like any other item. Open any item in Outlook and click the X on the toolbar. The item will be deleted. A DL is just an item the same as any other item. -- Brian Tillman |

Thank you for the explanation. I did find the file and restored it to the
CONTACTS folder. Very happy I don't have to re-enter all those names & addresses. gollyg "Brian Tillman" wrote: gollyg wrote: In Outlook (2003), I have: MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDAR and TASKS.
