Default Cannt add contact list from public folders to contact task pane

Using Vista and outlook 2007, I was connected to exchange server using VPN.
Lost VPN and without realising I clicked on the public folder contact list in
my contacts pane it dissapeared and I have not been able to restore it. Have
tried right click on folder then properties then administration then contact
but this does not restore it.
