Many of my contacts in my Outlook 2003 contacts folder have more than one email address i.e., email 1 and email 2 in the contact card. I would like to be able to have Outlook automatically populate the To: line of a new email message with all of the associated email addresses within the email field for a contact when I type their name in the To: line. I don't believe this is possible. -- Brian Tillman |

You'd have to create a distribution list with all the addresses in it. Alternatively, select the contact in the Contacts folder, then choosing Actions | New Message to Contact.

I don't want to have to create distribution lists for a single contact with
multiple emails. The tip for selecting the contact will work well when I only need to send to one contact. Thank you. This was helpful. -- Christina "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: You'd have to create a distribution list with all the addresses in it. What about when you're trying to write to more than one contact? It
only populates the To: field with the primary email address. Is there a way to change this? Thanks, Dan |

You might consider using your Contacts Folder instead of the address book.
Actions New Message to Contact will use all the Contact's email addresses. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Christina" wrote in message ... I would like to be able to have Outlook automatically populate the To: line of a new email message with all of the associated email addresses within the email field for a contact when I type their name in the To: line. For example, Bob Smith's contact card has and as email addresses. I want to type "bob smith" in the To line and have Outlook automatically insert the two addresses. I realize that I could create a distribution list for each contact that includes the contact's multiple email addresses, but that would be too much work so I don't want to go there. Outlook does provide me with a choice of email addresses in situations where more than one email address exists for a contact, but it doesn't let me pick two email addresses at a time. Instead, I have to select each addresses individually and this is time consuming. Has anyone found a way to do this? Thanks, -- Christina |

Yes, that does work. However, in this instance, I would like to send an email
to more than one contact and each of the contacts may have one or more email addresses that I want to include. -- Christina "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: You might consider using your Contacts Folder instead of the address book.
