Default Outlook 2007 Crashes When Exporting to Excel or CSV

I can successfully export to .pst files with my contacts, however attempting
to create CSV's no matter what setting or folder I try, it keeps crashing
when it is in the middle of exporting. Nothing in the event logs other than
1000 and I've sent the report to Microsoft. My current work around is the
CodeTwo Outlook CSV Exporter. However, the fields or the way it formats my
particular csv's isn't compatible enough for grandcentral.com.

Other installed applications that Outlook may use is Acrobat 6 STD, and Send
2 Mail Exporter.

Thanks for your time.

"Keeps crashing" means what exactly in terms of error messages displayed?
May be a simple case of something in Outlook becoming corrupted and require
re-installation or any number of other possibilities. (Outlook version?)

Make sure any Acrobat 6 addins are disabled - historically, Acrobat addins
have never worked well and v6 and 7 are not supported in outlook. I know
from experience v7 makes outlook unstable.

Sorry Diane, I just checked, I disabled almost all unecessary Add-Ons from
the trust center. Still no avail.

Since CodeTwo is exporting the data then the issue not likely to be related
to data.

Would suggest trying the same export on another "clean machine" (if at all
possible) where no addins are installed at all to take them out of the
equation altogether to see if the problem persists. Generally, when we've
encountered a program just "shutting down" with no error messages of any
kind - cause usually was a memory conflict between 2 products and we've
never encountered the issue described with the import/export wizard where no
error was displayed in any version of Outlook.

Not sure which driver Outlook uses for text file creation but may also be a
case of MDAC being corrupt on your system. Unfortunately, the quickest way
to exclude any "system config" issues is to try this on another machine. If
the issue is related to something outside of Office -
un-installing/'re-installing won't do you much good.

Default Outlook 2007 Crashes When Exporting to Excel or CSV

Hi Dennis,

Have you had any success with this? I'm having the same problem but with
importing a CSV file into Outlook 2007. It's driving me mad as I've spent 3
hours this morning trying to solve it. Any ideas would be very welcome.

Cheers
