Default Exporting contacts from folders

My outlook express address book has a Main Identity Folder. Under this I have
many folders with different lists of contacts. Whenever I try to export a
specific folder all I get are contacts that are in the Main Identify Folder
and not from my specific folder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...ress.ge neral
Good luck!

Exporting contacts in OE to Outlook works only with the Main identity, so,
you'll have to move things around. First, export your main identity
contacts to Outlook. Then create a new folder in Outlook and move the new
contacts to it. Then make another of your identities the main identity and
export those contacts to Outlook. Move those contacts to the new folder you
created. Keep going until they're all transferred. You can rearrange them
in OL any way you see fit. If you don't care they get merged, you don't
have to create any new contacts folders in Outlook; just make each identity
on OE the main identity in turn and export the contacts to Outlook and
they'll all wind up in the same Contacts folder.
