Default help-my son has imported adress book from outlook and overwritten.

Help please...........my son has inadvertently imported the address book from
outlook 2000 into my outlook express account and, instead of adding to that
address book, it has overwritten it. Please can anyone tell me how to get
back my very valuable email contacts. I have tried a system restore and
looked at all the help pages but am not a computer whizz and don't know what
to do.
Thanks
Julie
