Default Create a distibution list from several emails

I have an email from each student in my class and would like to take each of
thier email addresses and create one distribution list. Is there a shortcut
for this?

No. But here's a way to make it possible to a) quickly turn each email into
a Contact and b) communicate with them as a "group" of Contacts.
Distribution Lists have many limitations compared to using folders or
Categories.

Try this method:

Make a New Contact Folder (right click the existing one and New Folder).
Name it after the class.

Drag an email from each of those students into your new folder and Outlook
will make each into a Contact. The email will remain in the Inbox.

To email that class, you go to that folder, select all Contacts in it and
drag to an email Folder (eg Sent items).

You're welcome!

It helps that you clearly described what you needed to be able to do.
