First, any data in your company's mail system belongs to your company, not you. Taking those contacts home with you may be stealing company data and they might be able to prosecute you for it if they find out. Ask the company legal department or get WRITTEN permission from your manager before you do that. There is no way to export anything from Outlook Web Access. Instead, if you connect to the Exchange server using a PC that contains the Outlook client, you can then create a PST and copy the data from the mailbox to the PST and take the PST home with you on a CD or a flash drive. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Thank you for the ethics lecture Sir. In fact the contacts I am talking about
are my personal contacts not the company ones. So I am set there. And at to that I am on the ethics committee in my place. "Brian Tillman" wrote: Ahmad Abu-Halimah wrote: Thank you for your reply. Can you tell me how to import the addesses in my group boxes. I
successfully imported my address book from my old computer to the newly purchased one, except the addresses in my 2 group mailboxes did not import. Is there something different I need to do or do I have to enter each one again in the group mailbox? Thanks -- m jennum "Gordon" wrote: "Ahmad Abu-Halimah" Ahmad wrote in message ... Is there something different I need to do or do I have to enter each one again in the group mailbox? Thanks That's one of the results of importing a pst file rather than opening it. Do you still have access to the old pst file? If so, delete ALL your contacts in the new one, then on the new computer, in Outlook, do File-Open-Outlook Data file. then COPY all the contacts from the old file to the new. Using the import/export function to transfer data from one Outlook installation to another is neither recommended, nor necessary. HTH |

Tell us your account type. Tell us why you think importing is the proper way to move Outlook data from an old machine to a new one. (Hint: it's not.) -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
